Lime Stucco and Scultural Clay Plaster Training
It was a pleasure to provide training to a great group of people at Leeds College of Building for Leeds Council’s Kirkgate Conservation Area Initiative. The day focused on clay modelling as external wall decoration as inspired by examples from Africa and Internal Lime Stucco hand formed work inspired by Wentworth Castle’s Italian Staircase.
We used clay, sand and straw for the clay plaster and lime putty run from quick lime, sand, soft animal hair and plaster of Paris for lime stucco.
