Support for Ruin Conservation

M. Womersleys can be employed to guide the conservation of the ruined structures and at the same time provide training for volunteer workforces. This work is done in partnership with archaeologists who wish to record structures and buildings but would like support in conserving the remains that are uncovered.

For example we have providing this support in the conservation of: Above ground ruins at an historically important 18th and 19th century lead and zinc workings, Dale Mine within the Peak District; The ruinous Mellor Mill, which in 1790-92 was the world’s largest spinning mill; And many structures along the canal networks.
