We have just got back from providing technical support and demonstrating the use of insulating lime plasters to professional plasterers working at a fine Old Hall, near Bedale. A lovely building, 16th century at heart, with corbelled chimney stack to the front, fine arched door openings and an immense stone chimney in the rear wing.
The owners have installed an insulated limecrete floor and are now applying breathable insulating lime plasters to the walls, over a stipple coat of hydraulic lime, and are finishing it all with Fine Stuff, traditional lime putty based plaster.
